Late Summer & Fall RV Events 2026: So Much to See and Do Before the Weather Chills

As most of us can clearly tell by the temperature gauge, summer is in full swing, and there’s a whole lot of warm weather fun still to be had.

The days are long, campgrounds are bustling, and there’s still plenty of time to squeeze in one, three, or more road trips before we ease into one of my personal favorite seasons: Fall.

If you don’t yet have your summer calendar all penciled in—or you’re just looking for ways to love RVing closer to home—we have plenty of Fall RV events 2026 across the country to check out.

Find every type of RV at America's Largest RV Show

America’s Largest RV Show®—Hershey, PA

If there’s one event to build a trip around this fall, this is it. America’s Largest RV Show® returns to the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, September 16 – 20. While some readers may disagree about which RV show is actually the biggest, this one is definitely at the top of the list. Heck, it’s even in the name!

The 57th annual show brings in 1,500 new RVs from 40 manufacturers, making it one of the first places in the country to check out the 2027 models. You’ll find everything from pop-up campers to Class A motorhomes (and everything in between). Plus, there are more than 200 vendors passionate about RVing with gear, accessories, campground info, insurance, and more to help you make the most of your time on the road and at the campsite.

Beyond a chance to compare an endless variety of RVs, it’s fun and educational! You’ll find hourly seminars for new and seasoned RVers alike, meet-and-greets with your favorite RV content creators, new Campfire Conversations sessions, and a quirky strolling band kids and adults have come to love. (And this is just the short list.)

Show hours: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday – Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday

Tickets: Buy in advance and save at largestrvshow.com/attend/buy-tickets. Discounts are available for healthcare workers, seniors, veterans, and first responders. Plus, kids 12 and under get in free.

If you want to make a longer trip of it, this is also peak apple- and pumpkin-picking season in Pennsylvania Dutch Country. The Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival, September 26 – October 25, and the South Mountain Fairgrounds’ Apple Harvest Festival, October 3 – 4 and 10 – 11, 2026, are both easy drives away.

Overland Expo Mountain West: August 21 – 23, The Ranch, Loveland, CO

If Hershey is all about scale, Overland Expo is all about getting outfitted for the backcountry. And it draws thousands of overlanders, van-lifers, and off-roaders for hands-on classes, custom rig displays, and gear from 300+ exhibitors. Not near Colorado? Overland Expo runs regional stops all over the country, so there’s likely one closer to your own campsite, including:

Overland Expo East: October 23 – 25, Oak Ridge Estate, Arrington, VA

Set on 4,800 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this is the East Coast’s version of the same event with the same hands-on classes and rig culture. Just with the addition of gorgeous fall scenery.

October, of course, is also when the country’s best harvest festivals hit their stride.

If you’re road-tripping through the Southwest, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta (early October) is a bucket-list stop with hundreds of hot air balloons and plenty of nearby camping.

If you plan on RVing through Ohio, you may want to route through Circleville for the Circleville Pumpkin Show, the original pumpkin festival, running since 1903 with a 20-foot pumpkin pie to prove it.

And if you’re anywhere near the Southeast, Asheville’s Oktoberfest is a fun, easy add-on to a Blue Ridge fall foliage drive.
