IT’S A DISNEY-LIKE FANTASY

to walk among nature like Snow White or Cinderella and have every little creature lift their heads toward you, as birds fly about and sing their tiny hearts out. (Even now, that sounds pretty awesome.) But pull into the Biggest Week In American Birding (BWIAB) Festival at Magee Marsh, Ohio, this Spring (May 8 – 17, 2026), and you’ll enter the song-filled center of the “Warbler Capital of the World.”

â–ş WHY GO

Spring is a magical yearly occurrence when songbirds congregate on the southern edge of Lake Erie just before their big migration to their northern breeding grounds. If you’re a birder, this is a bucket-list experience. If you’re not, who cares?! You’ll see a dizzying array and diversity of birds, including eagles and over 150 species of songbirds.

â–ş WHERE TO GO
The Magee Marsh boardwalk. If you’re not sure you want to do the whole festival, we get that. But the boardwalk is free with its own parking.

â–ş WHEN TO GO

May 8 – 17, 2026, for the official event.

♥ I Heart Tip

Talk to a birder. There will be flocks of them, and they can help show you what to watch and listen for.
