Don’t be deceived by the sleek appearance of the Patriot. While it is elegant enough for a ball, like General Washington, it is just as ready to storm key terrain. Powered by the formidable 3.0L V6 diesel engine on the battle-tested Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis (with an optional 4×4 drivetrain), the Patriot is a master of maneuver. What is remarkable is how smooth it is, upgraded with Sumo suspension that gives you additional control as you drive. Your visibility and awareness are further increased by a comprehensive rear back-up camera system. In park, the Patriot’s roof-top solar charging system helps bear the load of energy logistics—even if you don’t choose the 600Ah Lithium Freedom Package that liberates you totally from the fetters of propane.Ultimately, your pursuit of happiness ends inside the Patriot’s feature-spangled cabin. Its 13,500 Btu roof-top air conditioner and climate-controlled roof fan power a refreshing atmosphere—and its complete insulation package ensures the cool stays put. When the temperature drops in coming months, you’ll be grateful for the on-demand water heater and diesel powered coach furnace. In milder weather, the Patriot gives you the right to let the outdoors in with side and rear screen doors. And there are plenty of amendments you can make—whether that’s going all-electric (the Lithium Freedom package), fitting all-terrain tires with black rims, or installing the VB Air Ride System. Self-Determination in the Cabin
The Patriot has idealistic standard features. Some are obvious—like three choices for the polished wood finish in the interior. (Walnut Burl Satin shown here.) Others are subtle—like the hidden hinges on the cabinets and wardrobe. Coach control is also standard with a digital touchscreen. But the optional packages offer even more alluring touches. As much as we love campgrounds, they are not always the most private place. But the Patriot makes your parking spot your castle, with tint for rear and side windows, privacy night shades for the front, and a privacy shade package standard. Which means that you and your passengers truly have the space to yourself. So you can chill on the sofa and watch what’s on Apple TV. Talk through the night with drinks on the removable Lagun table.
